Why Ohgami?I love Sakura Taisen, better known as Sakura Wars in the US. It's just such an amazing series, very cool characters and story development. You've gotta love steam powered bots, the Kobu!
I first saw the Sakura Taisen OVA at the first Festival of Animation at the Sony Metreon in San Francisco. I then saw the second OVA at the second festival. I remember seeing Ohgami's battle uniform in the credits and I knew I wanted to make that costume. I've recently gotten a hold of the fan-subbed Sakura Taisen TV show and it's just fantastic! Of course I'm missing the last episode. :P
Oh another pesky thing is that depending on the translation, Ohgami Ichiro could also be spelled Oogami Ichirou or other varients. I'm going by the fansub and ADV versions of the translation.
